Pearl Izumi Tour Series has entered its fifth season of the amazing format of team-based racing. The Tour Series 2013 will take place across eleven towns and cities in the United Kingdom. Ten Teams with five top-professional cyclists are slated to battle it out to be crowned the best in the UK. Each round of the Tour Series promises to be intense with fast-paced and gladiatorial cycling racing. Each of UK’s elite cyclists participating in the event will come out each time with all the metal to compete for a place in the top three place to place to allow his team to finish in the highest position in the race and maintain a lead in the competition.
Welshman Yanto Barker of Team UK Youth won the opening round of the fifth season of Tour Series, while Kristian House of Rapha Condor JLT team bagged the top spot in the round 2 of the great cycling event. The two have respectively helped their teams to the top of the table in the team standings, which has made it mandatory for the other teams to make it big and force a comeback in the competition, a reason the Tour Series Round 3 cycling event has become the biggest cycling event in May 2013 because each team in the competition will want to stay in the competition’s title hunt and will thus have their eyes on the finish line in the Tour Series Round 3 (2013).
Tour Series Round 3 Great Britain is scheduled for May 21. The first round kicked off from Kirkland on Tuesday 14th May while the second round began from Durham on May 16. The action-packed five weeks of cycling racing (the competition will culminate with round 11 on June 14 at Ipswich) promises to bring cycling fanaticism to the streets of Britain like never before.
Pearl Izumi Tour Series is one of the biggest cycling race events, which is telecaster on TV. Highlights of each event are aired on ITV4 in Great Britain. Being an annual race, the Tour Series is different from most of the other splendid bicycle race events around the world. Unlike in other race competitions, Tour Series emphasizes more on team effort rather than individual performances, for this, teams rely on best mechanical parts, and bike lights used in the Tour Series by riders also hold great importance.
The individuals in the team battle it out to make it to the top positions in all the events to make sure their team collects lowest cumulative points, as teams with least cumulative points are ranked higher. Being a team event, the team ranked highest is crowned the champion of Great Britain.
